Beginner learning path
A recommended sequence for people new to Solana, aligned with the sessions and guides we offer. Move at your own pace — skip steps only when you can honestly explain the prior topic.
-
Grasp the network shape
Read our guide on validators and RPC nodes. You should be able to sketch how a transaction request travels before you install a wallet. No account creation yet — just vocabulary.
-
Foundation Session (recommended)
Book the in-person or video session where a tutor walks you through wallet creation, devnet SOL, and a supervised transfer. Most self-taught learners hit confusion here; guided practice saves retracing steps.
-
Key management depth
If wallet backup and address verification felt rushed, add the Wallet Walkthrough. Otherwise, read the seed phrase storage guide and test yourself with our checklist.
-
Repeated devnet practice
Devnet Lab consolidates transaction reading and error interpretation. Aim to complete all five exercises without looking at the answer key, then retry one failed transaction on purpose to study the explorer output.
-
Independent reading
Explore token accounts and program basics through our written guides. This stage prepares you for official Solana documentation without replacing it.
